Excerpt from www.fashionweekdaily.com -the The Fall 2010 Paris couture season is only weeks away. The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 25 with Alexis Mabille's show. The youngest couturier in town, he will show at the Garage Turrene in the Marais. At 12:30, John Galliano will present his collection for Christian Dior. Once again, the show will take place in the Dior salon on Avenue Montaigne. (A second show, presumably for clients, will be held at 3:00.) Anne Valerie Hash will show at 5 at 36 boulevard Bonne Nouvelle. To close out the evening, Giorgio Armani will unveil his Armani Prive wares at the Palais de Chaillot. Can we expect another Cate Blanchett sighting? Perhaps, but Daily money is on Megan Fox.
On Tuesday, Karl Lagerfeld and his usual beauties will shock le tout Paris by eschewing the Grand Palais in favor of Pavillon Cambon-Capucines on Rue Cambon. Two shows will be held at noon and 2:00 p.m.. Givenchy will bow at a still-undisclosed location at 9 p.m.. Elie Saab will show at 12:30 on Wednesday at its usual salon on Rue des Capucines; Jean Paul Gaultier will take his usual 2:30 slot at 325 rue Saint-Martin. Valentino will close out the fashion shows with a 6:30 p.m. show at Couvent des Cordeliers.
A fourth day--Thursday--has been added to the calendar. It will be devoted exclusively to the showing of fine jewelry from vendors such as Boucheron, Cartier, Chanel Joillerie, Cartier, Christian Dior Joaillerie, Chaumet, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Mellario dits Meller.
